Cutting channels with a router is the first part of this job. The router is
mounted underneath this work table so that the bit protrudes up through a hole. The
device at the guitar's edge is a custom-made adjustable foot which controls the depth of
the channel.
Bandings (those are the dark strips on the outside edge of the guitar) are applied
using fiberglass tape which holds them firmly in place while the glue dries. Later the
gloppy squeezed-out glue will be removed with router &
scraper.
