Hygrometers

Few tools can be more helpful to a guitarist in protecting a valuable instrument than a reliable, high-quality hygrometer.  That's because humidity can significantly affect the performance of a guitar, even its structural integrity.

Recent improvements in digital hygrometers, particularly in the sensors, have resulted in highly accurate and dependable devices.  The one I offer is a wireless-linked thermo-hygrometer set (one unit for case mounting, one for home or studio) made by Taylor Precision Products  I have tested the main unit extensively under a variety of humidity conditions using a highly accurate reference tool called a sling psychrometer and found it to be accurate to within 1%  (the remote unit seems to be a little less accurate).

All of my new hand-crafted guitars come supplied with this hygrometer set.  If you want one for your current guitar, click the picture above.
